After you grant access, Storage Cleaner scans media on your device so you can review look-alike photos, temporary screenshots, and videos grouped by capture time. Removing files can free storage. This app does not claim to boost speed or optimize battery.
With your authorization, the app looks through photos in your gallery and groups identical or similar shots. Keep Best can leave the recommended photo in each group unselected. You can then select the rest and delete them in one step. Nothing is removed until you confirm.
People often capture something for a few minutes — then never delete it. In North America that might be a restaurant pickup QR, a boarding-pass barcode, a parking-garage ticket, a package-locker code, a Venmo or Zelle receipt, a grocery coupon, or a whiteboard from a Zoom meeting. Those images are useful once, but if they sit in the gallery for months they occupy storage. Screenshot cleanup lists them so you can remove what you no longer need.
Temporary captures often stay in the gallery long after they are useful.
Videos are grouped by when they were taken. You can preview a clip and see how much storage it uses. That size is a reference to help you decide what to keep or remove when you want to free space. Playback and deletion stay under your control.
The contacts backup feature stores backup files on your device. It does not upload your contact details as part of this backup. If you uninstall Storage Cleaner or clear the app’s data, those local backup files will be lost. Restore is available from backups still stored on the phone.
